Steve has a BEng degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Nottingham University. After 5 years repairing seismic equipment and X-ray machines, he started his rapid prototyping career at 3D Systems in the UK in 1994. Working on the SLA250® and SLA500® he progressed to the SLA3500® and SLA5000® as they were introduced. In 1999 Steve left 3D Systems to start offering SLA® support from Sibco. Many customers were then able to benefit from laser upgrades and resin upgrades that were not previously available. Steve left Sibco in 2007 to form RP Support with Rory.

Rory served 12 years for Her Majesty in the Royal Air Force as an Avionics Engineer specialising in on‑aircraft electronics ranging from communications and flight systems to electronic warfare. Rory joined 3D Systems in February 2000 as a Customer Support Engineer with responsibilities for promoting materials, maintenance and repair of all SLA® systems, test equipment calibration, as well as MJM maintenance and repair. Rory joined Steve at Sibco after 6 years where he expanded his experience to include servicing all Envisiontec platforms. Rory and Steve formed RP Support in order to give customers an honest and professional approach to high-tech Field Service.

David has an HNC in Electronics and spent over 12 years working at 3D Systems where he was responsible for the field service operation in the UK, managing stereolithography support and the integration of the DTM product line to the company. For his last 2 years at 3D Systems, David was responsible for managing the sintering support activities for Europe. David joined RP Support in December 2008 as Executive Director. He is responsible for developing new business opportunities within all the key sectors of services, materials and hardware and identifying new opportunities for growth.

Simon studied Computer Aided Engineering at Staffordshire University. He chose a Rapid Prototyping module having seen an image on the front cover of a book in the university library and has never looked back! Simon joined ARRK in 2001 initially as an SL Programmer, building his comprehensive experience of RP software including Magics and Lightyear for preparing SL builds. He then later developed skills and knowledge for maintaining and repairing hardware, installing and optimizing SL resins after which he was promoted to scheduling the SLA® department for all projects. Simon joined RP Support in 2008, and provides invaluable support maintaining and repairing SLAs, installing SL resins and trouble-shooting software and part build issues.

David has a BSc in Chemistry. He joined 3D Systems from Psion in 1996, where he worked as a customer support engineer installing and maintaining the 3D Systems manufactured equipment, SLA® and multi-jet modellers until 2005. David studied for an MSc in Data Telecommunications and Networks until 2007 before rejoining 3D Systems for a further 2 years. David joined RP Support in October 2009 with over 10 years experience and is responsible for researching machine upgrades, field repair work and developing supplier relationships. Based in Manchester, David primarily supports customers in northern regions of the UK, Ireland and in parts of Europe as required.

Alan joined RP Support in July 2012 bringing with him a wealth of experience in technical service and customer support. Alan's key roles within the company are to provide a service to stereolithography customers, including installation of hardware, maintenance and repairs of machines as well as trouble-shooting part build issues. In addition Alan also applies his skills internally by providing technical support over the telephone and sourcing materials and parts required by customers. Prior to joining RP Support, Alan was Service Manager at J & J Pneumatics for over 3 years, running the service department and managing a team of 6 engineers and his previous experience came from his 12 year role as a Service Engineer for Warwick Machine Tool, where he was responsible for installations, maintenance and repair of Ona wire-cut and die sink EDM machines across the UK and Europe.

Jonathan joined the RP Support customer support team in September 2015, bringing with him extensive knowledge and practical experience in Selective Laser Sintering (SLS). After graduating from Buckinghamshire New University with a degree focussed on 3D modelling and CAD programming, Jonathan joined a major UK SLS bureau, where he trained and gained hands on experience in running SLS machines and producing high quality SLS parts, rapidly working his way up to become the Additive Manufacturing (AM) workshop manager. Moving to RP Support as a field engineer, will both strengthen the SLS customer support team and allow Jonathan to use his extensive experience to install, maintain and service SLS hardware and optimise the running of equipment for both current and future RP Support customers in this developing market.

Mark joined RP Support in September 2016 as a software engineer, and has a key role within the company to develop, further enhance and maintain the bespoke software used to control the 3D printers designed and developed in-house by RPS. Mark originally graduated with a BSC(Eng) from Imperial College, London but joins RPS with over 30 year’s software development experience, most recently providing applications to the police including ANPR systems and access to the Police National Computer. In his spare time, Mark enjoys cycling and photography.

Mel started working for RP Support in September 2016 bringing a high degree of experience in electronics servicing and electromechanical fields, joining the company as a support engineer for customers using SLS and SLA printing systems. Mel studied microprocessor and analogue electronic systems & servicing at ITec School of Engineering & Technology and at Stanington College Sheffield. He started his career working firstly on TV, video, HiFi and home computers, then joining Sanderson Computers Ltd in 1983 where over a 25 year period he gained extensive knowledge working on a wide variety of computerised, electro mechanical and power electronic equipment involving maintenance & repair to component level. He also worked on many types of multi user systems, in workshop repair, customer support and technical services departments. Mel also has in-depth knowledge of networking and has project led the implementation of Microsoft, Unix, Linux and DOS OS based systems as file, mail, terminal and database servers, gaining him expertise in these types of systems. Mel has gained a high level of experience in handling customer issues and in 2008 left to join Civica Ltd and began working on ANPR systems installing and maintaining specialist cameras and video equipment, working on both static sited and mobile installations.

Chin joined RP Support in September 2014 as an apprentice customer support engineer, and works and trains alongside the highly skilled group of RP Support engineers both internally and in the field. Already qualified with an Extended Diploma in Engineering, Chin is currently finishing his HNC and is also planning to complete an HND during the course of his apprenticeship. Chin’s role within RP Support not only provides him with hands-on training in technical service and support, but also customer facing involvement within the industry and a strong technical foundation by working side by side with this highly qualified and experienced team.

Becky works part time at RP Support and joined the company in January 2013 to strengthen the internal administration team. Prior to joining the company Becky had 7 years' experience as an office supervisor with skills that have been easily transferred into her new roles within RP Support which include ordering, stock control, organising imports and exports as well as shipping. Becky also supports customers with general telephone enquiries and provides internal support to the managers and technical teams.
